About Carol Maher

I am a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist in the state of Indiana. After obtaining my Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, I began working in outpatient therapy at Riley Hospital for Children. During my six years with Clarian Health, I also worked in acute care rehabilitation at Methodist as a PRN therapist.

My specialty areas of practice include: sensory modulation, sensory fitness, dyspraxia, fine motor and handwriting development, stroke rehab, feeding and eating interventions, and congenital delays. My passion is creative problem solving. I will do whatever it takes to motivate a child for success.

I believe in traditional intervention for foundation skills, but use progressive interventions to advance performance skills. I am certified in hippotherapy; the use of a horse to achieve therapeutic goals. I contract arena space at Agape Therapeutic Riding Center in Cicero, Indiana. These interventions are limited and by special arrangement only.
